Connect with the Sea with an Ocean Plait mat. An authentic nautical mat knot- crafted in Nova Scotia, Canada along the shores of the Bay of Fundy. The Ocean Plait mat is intricately woven with a single length of rope and finished with a traditional side splice. Historically, the Ocean Plait mat was originally crafted aboard ship, tacked down in front of the Captain’s wheel to provide the captain with comfort and grip. Presently, woven of reclaimed aqua lobster fishing rope and as with all our products no metal or glue used to hold it together. Approximately 24" x 14".
